ANTHEM: Homunculus

Brian is the Music Director & Music Supervisor of Homunculus, an original podcast musical by John Cameron Mitchell & Bryan Weller. It is the first season of ANTHEM, a new narrative podcast series produced by Howard Gertler, First Look Media and Topic Studios, presented by Luminary Media. Brian also played piano, organ, and keyboards on the project. You can read about it here and here.


Saints Rest

Saints Rest is a full-length movie musical directed by Noga Ashkenazi, and written by Noga Ashkenazi & Tyson Stock. Brian was the Music Director, and arranged the songs for the film with Eliya Scemama & Naama Or. He also contributed original music. You can watch the trailer for the film here.


The Disappearing Man

Brian is the Music Director & Vocal Arranger of The Disappearing Man, a new folk opera by Jahn Sood. The piece takes place backstage at a small-time circus in St. Louis, 1936.

The Disappearing Man was most recently presented as part of the Ignite! Festival at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, directed by West Hyler (Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour, the Big Apple Circus).  It has previously been presented at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Joe’s Pub and Cloud City, an alternative arts space in Brooklyn.  You can listen to the Cloud City Sessions, a record made with the 2014 Brooklyn cast, here.


We Were An Island

Brian Music Directed & conducted the recording of the score of the film We Were An Island, directed by Peter Logue and written by Jahn Sood. The film is based on the true story of Art and Nan Kellam, who, in 1949, decided to move to Placentia, an uninhabited island off the coast of Maine, until just after Art’s death in 1985. It stars Louden Wainwright III and Becky Ann Baker, with Chris Henry Coffey, Jennifer Mudge, and Dylan Baker. You can learn more about the film here.
